Oakland, NJ, September 2009--Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) in Home Health received the largest increase in hourly pay compared to Hospital and Long Term Care PTAs, according to the 3rd annual Rehabilitation Compensation Report, just published by Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service (HCS).  Long Term Care PTAs received a 2.25% hourly increase, Hospital PTAs received a 0.78% increase, and Home Health PTAs received a 6.24% increase from 2008 to 2009.

2,150 long term care facilities, 240 hospitals, and 667 home care agencies participated in the study.  The 2009-2010 Report covers 15 therapy jobs, salaries, bonuses, hourly and per diem rates.  Fringe benefits data also is included, as are planned and actual percent increases.  Data are reported by state, county, and region.
