Oakland, NJ, November 2008--Physical Therapists in long term care receive higher hourly pay compared to hospital and home health Physical Therapists, according to the 2nd annual Rehabilitation Compensation Report, published by Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service (HCS). Long Term Care PTs received a national median rate of $38.00, followed by Home Health PTs at $36.91, and Hospital PTs at $35.01.
2,036 long term care facilities, 263 hospitals, and 765 home care agencies and hospices participated in the study. The 2008-2009 Report covers 15 therapy jobs, salaries, bonuses, hourly and per diem rates. Fringe benefits data also is included, as are planned and actual percent increases. Data are reported by state, principal city, and region.
