Hospice RN + LPN Productivity Increase
Oakland, NJ, November 2015 – Productivity for Hospice RNs and LPNs increased in 2015, according to the 2015-2016 Hospice Salary & Benefits Report, just published by Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service (HCS). In 2014, the average number of actual visits/day for RNs was 4.33, compared to 4.39 in 2015. The average number of visits for LPNS increased from 5.04 to 5.15. Home Care Aides (HCAs) productivity also increased, going from 5.21 to 5.31 in 2015. Actual patient visits are the average number of face-to-face patient visits, including travel and paperwork time. All visits (including admission and complex) count as one visit.

Data from the 2014 and 2015 Hospice Salary & Benefits Reports
The national turnover rate for Hospice RNs increased to 20.55%, compared to 18.57% in 2014. HCA turnover also increased from 17.57% to 20.91% in 2015.
780+ hospices participated in the study. The complete 260-page Report contains 64 jobs reporting on salaries, bonuses, and hourly & per visit rates.
