Study Shows 2.72% Planned Salary Increase for Hospital Corporate Execs in 2019
February 2019-- The 2018-2019 Multi-Facility Corporate Compensation Report, just published by Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service (HCS), reported an average planned salary increase of 2.72% in 2019 for hospital corporate positions. The results include larger revenue hospital/clinic systems, as well as multi-site organization executives. The revenue size of participants ranged from $200 million - $12 billion.

In a national comparison by revenue size, CHRO total compensation pay ranged from $309,551 in those with revenue less than $1 billion; $358,737 in revenue size of $1 billion - $2 billion; and $592,682 for those with revenue greater than $2 billion. Data reported reflect the national total compensation average.
100% of hospital systems offered 401(k)/403(b) plans. Participants reported an average match of 3.80% of salary, with an average maximum contribution of 5.33%. The average eligibility period decreased from 6.50 months in 2017 to 4.67 months in 2018.
